Training Reflection: Sutherland, South Africa ( 22-24 January 2016)
For our first national training of 2016, we headed off to the astronomical Northern Cape town of Sutherland for a level one (Dad’s Talk) training. We thoroughly enjoyed the silence and tranquility of the plateau — it almost feels like you can hear God whispering into your ear as you breathe in the clean air and gaze in wonder at the millions of stars. It was wonderfully refreshing experience for us.
We had 5 couples and 2 single ladies attending the training, which went very well. Two of the couples who are ministering to personnel in the Tankwa National Park were especially encouraged by the training, because during their year planning God revealed to them that they should focus on investing in the fathers of the region. Please pray for them for breakthroughs as they serve an often neglected corner of our country.
We would like to extend our thanks to Nicol and Marina for hosting us, and to Basie for organising the event.
